And push the "enngage combat patrol mode" button. Trained in 6 nonths from nothing. But you need cheap planes for that. At least to a point where pilots become too expensive to justify . Everyone says modern fighters are ridicously easy to fly (straight and level). That could address the hacking/jamming problem. You lose gforce options but how important is that withh modern missiles especially if the pilots need the training of an infantrymen. So You Can afford to black out. Granted you lose the price savings of eliminating pilot. But think of the money saved on training still. If younare concerned about jamming and a hard unhackable rtb/reset capability.

Thanks for that info. I just saw (April 2024) a pair of F-117’s do a low altitude flight in Mojave Desert. Very impressive! Like something out of Mordor. I especially was surprised by how much quieter the engines are compared to the F-15’s and F-16s I also observed operating in the area. I don’t know if the F-15s&16 were using afterburners or not but they were very loud. Anyway, it was seeing them in action firsthand that had me look into this. Didn’t get photos; they were above my head before I even heard them. PS No chrome plating…

If you use Starship as a cargo delivery platform then it’s a one way trip and then you have to deal with a giant spaceship that isn’t capable of relaunching itself into orbit from within Earth gravity without being restacked onto a falcon heavy booster. The logistics make zero sense.
